Flaming June: for once living up to its reputation.  While 100 drivers sweated it out in their race suits all day, visors open as far as they dared, the many spectators slapped on the factor 20 and the Pit Stop Diner had to send out for emergency supplies of ice cream. Just a few rumblings in the sky at the end of the glorious summer day as those drivers making a weekend of racing at Rye House next day nervously looked at the sky for any signs of impending thunder storms. But in the middle of it all, the weather had one little joke to play on us as a twister tore through the paddock, destroying three awnings and damaging two vehicles. What next?
